Work with a tax advisor or a trustee

If a professional handles your affairs, this is what the arrangement looks like from your side.

A tax advisor or trustee who uses IDup can connect to you directly. You then exchange documents and messages inside IDup rather than by e-mail attachment.

Step by step

  1. They invite you. You receive an e-mail saying they have set up an IDup account for you — it is free and it is yours.
  2. Set up your access, choose a password and sign in with the six-digit code — see Your free private account.
  3. Their practice now appears in your area picker. Select it to see your side of the mandate.
  4. Send documents into the mandate instead of attaching them to e-mails. They land where the work is done.
  5. Use Messages for questions; the whole thread stays with the mandate.
  6. Their requests for missing documents show as outstanding items, so you know what is still needed without being chased.

What they can and cannot see

  • They see the mandate: the documents you sent and the affairs they handle for you.
  • They do not see the rest of your private account, and they do not see your other connections.
  • If the engagement ends, they disappear from your area picker and your account stays yours.
