The digital letterbox
Physical post arrives as a scan in your account — and you can send letters back out of it.
The letterbox turns paper post into something you can search. Incoming mail is scanned and lands in an inbox; outgoing letters are written in IDup and posted for you.
It is part of the private Plus and Premium plans and of the business plans. The free Basic plan does not include it.

Step by step
- Open Letterbox. If several mailboxes are set up, each one has its own entry with its own inbox.
- Dashboard shows what arrived recently and what is still unopened.
- Inbox is the full list of scanned incoming mail. Open an item to read the scan.
- Send letter writes an outgoing letter; Sent keeps what you have sent.
- Folders files what you want to keep; Search looks inside the scans, not only at the subject lines.
- Bulk delivery sends the same letter to many recipients at once, and Statistics shows the volume over time.
In the app
- Open the letterbox in the app.
- New mail arrives as a push notification under New letterbox mail.
- The last loaded inbox stays readable without a connection, marked Offline, as of <time>.
Mailboxes and who may open them
A mailbox belongs to a person or to a company, and access is granted per mailbox under Letterbox → Mailboxes. That is what makes it usable for private post in a workspace other people also use.
Extra protectionThe letterbox can require a second factor of its own before it opens, separately from the sign-in. Ask an administrator if you want that switched on.
