Trash, unsubscribe and deletion
Restore a deleted search profile or form, and what happens when a person unsubscribes or asks for deletion.
Deleting never destroys data at once. Search profiles and forms go to the trash first.
Search profiles
- Tick one or more rows, then choose Delete. The bar shows how many are selected.
- Read the question. The search profiles stay in the trash for 30 days. The contact or lead is kept, and the person is not notified.
- Confirm. For 10 seconds you can click Undo.
- To bring them back, open the filter Trash, select and click Restore.
- To remove them for good, click Delete permanently. This cannot be undone.
A profile in the trash is ignored for matches and automatic offers. The list shows days left.
Forms
In the menu of a form choose Delete, then Move to trash. The form is no longer reachable and its link says it is not available. The search profiles it produced are kept. In the chip Trash you can Restore it, or Delete permanently. The source name stays visible on old profiles.
When a person unsubscribes
The status becomes Unsubscribed and the tag No property offers is set. Only the person can subscribe again.
When a person asks for deletion
The status becomes Deleted. IDup creates the task Check deletion request with a check for invoices, contracts and payments. If none exist, you can anonymise the contact. If they exist, statutory retention (Swiss Code of Obligations, art. 958f) applies and only marketing data is removed.
Inactive profiles get a reminder after the retention period (24 months by default) and are anonymised 30 days later. You can set the period under Settings.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
