The customer portal
What your customers see when they sign in — and how to control it.
The portal is the part of IDup your customers actually touch. It removes a large share of the “any update?” e-mails, because the answer is on a page they can open themselves.
What a customer sees
- Their dashboard, with the counts that concern them.
- Their Invoices, Estimates, Proposals and Contracts, each with its status.
- Their Projects — but only the parts you marked visible.
- Support — the tickets they opened and your replies.
- The Knowledge base you published.
- Their Profile and the Privacy & policy page.
- Where you run them: the product catalogue and their orders, and equipment assigned to them.
Giving a contact access
- Open the customer, then the contact.
- Switch on portal access for that contact and set what they may see.
- Save. They can set a password and sign in.
- Separately, tick Invite to the IDup app if you also want chat, appointments and push with them.
Deciding what is visible
Visibility is per item, not global. A project, a file, a task or a ticket can be marked visible to the customer or kept internal, so you can work in the open where it helps and privately where it does not.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
