IDup Chat
One chat for your team, your groups and your customers, with read receipts, files and links to the customer file.
Chat that lives on private phones leaves with the people. IDup Chat belongs to the company. Staff, groups, customers and leads are in one place.
Step by step
- Open IDup Chat. The tabs are All, Staff, Customers and Groups, each with a count.
- Select New conversation, or New group to create a group with a name, a picture and members.
- Write a message. Press Enter to send and Shift+Enter for a new line. Add emojis, files or a voice message.
- Reply to one message, react to it, or edit and delete your own within 15 minutes.
- Open the details panel to see the customer file, next appointments and open invoices (only with the invoice permission).
What you see
- Ticks show Sent, Delivered and Read. In groups you see Read by n of m.
- Online, away and last seen, and “is typing”.
- Pin or mute a conversation. Set quiet hours: no push messages then, while the bell stays current.
- Search people and messages.
Act from a chat
Create a task or an appointment from a message. Convert a customer chat into a support ticket. Hand a customer chat over to a colleague, who gets a push message.
Who can see what
A one-to-one chat between two staff members is private. An administrator cannot read it. Customers only see their own conversation with your company. Customers and staff need an IDup account for the app. Without one, select Invite. A lead has no account until it is converted.
Files are checked for dangerous content. The limit is 20 MB. Company-wide, you can set how many days messages are kept.
Conversations coming in from WhatsApp, Instagram or your website are in the shared inbox, not here.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
