Dashboards and widgets
Build the first screen you see out of the numbers you actually check.
A dashboard is worth having when it replaces a routine — the three figures you look up every morning, on one page.
Where to find itDashboard → IDup dashboard.
Step by step
- Open Dashboard → IDup dashboard → My dashboard.
- Add widgets for the figures you check: open invoices, overdue amounts, new leads, project status, hours booked.
- Arrange them so the ones you look at first are at the top.
- All dashboards shows the dashboards that exist; All widgets and Widget categories are the catalogue behind them.
- Settings controls what the area offers and to whom.
Keep it to a screenful
A dashboard with thirty widgets is a report, and nobody reads it daily. Five or six that would make you act if they moved is the useful size.
