Customer onboarding

Give every new customer a clear start: welcome, documents, signature and a kick-off, with progress both sides can see.

Customer onboarding turns the first weeks with a new customer into a checklist. You and the customer both see what is done and what is open.

Where to find itSales & Projects → CRM → Customer onboarding. The customer file has an Onboarding tab with the same data.

What a plan contains

A plan is made of steps. The step types are Welcome, Access, Document upload, Signature, Task, Read & confirm, Appointment, Feedback, Confirm and Information. Ready-made templates exist for general customers, real estate, trustees, trades and subscriptions. You can edit and duplicate them.

Start one

  1. Open CRM → Customer onboarding and start a plan for a customer by hand.
  2. Or switch on automatic start in the onboarding settings. A plan then starts when a lead becomes a customer, when a quote is accepted or when a contract is signed.
  3. The welcome e-mail goes out at the start. The invitation to the IDup app is sent only when you click it.
  4. Follow the progress in the list. Overdue steps get reminders, and a manager is told if they stay open.

What the customer sees

The customer area shows Your start with the open steps. The customer uploads the documents, signs the contract and books the kick-off through your booking link. A booking is recognised automatically. You can reject a document with a reason.

Good to knowAutomatic start is off until you switch it on. It never starts plans for customers who existed before. Templates changed later apply only to plans started afterwards.
