Contact, source and notifications
How a search profile creates a contact, where it came from, and when the person and your team get an email or a push.
When a form is submitted, IDup creates the search profile and a contact (lead) together. If the email or phone already exists, the profile is linked to that contact. No duplicate is made.
Contact and company
- If the title is Company, the field Company is required and the person becomes the contact person.
- The contact file has a block Search profiles.
- A badge Search profile: … shows the source and links to the profile.
Source
The column Source has two lines: the name and the channel, such as Website, Direct link, QR code, Landing page, Portal, App, Manual or IDup AI. A campaign is added when the link carries one. You can filter by source and name each form’s source under Settings.
Email to the person
- Public forms send a confirmation with a link to Change, pause or unsubscribe.
- With Double opt-in the person confirms the email address first.
- Profiles entered by hand, by AI or in the app send nothing automatically.
- For those, click Send confirmation to prospect. You see a preview first.
Notifying your team
- A bell entry and a push: New search profile / lead, with name, goal and place. Tapping it opens the profile.
- The push category is Search profiles in your push settings, on the web and in the app.
- You can also email the assigned staff member.
- Assignment can be a fixed contact, Round robin or nobody. Optionally IDup creates the task Review search profile.
A form can also call a Webhook address with a signature for every new search profile.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
