Set your region for dates, time and numbers

Dates, time, first day of the week and numbers follow your region, per person.

Last updated 21 October 2026 · More in Account, security & privacy

IDup shows dates, time and numbers in the style of your region. One person can use 20.10.2026, another 10/20/2026. Each sees it their way in the same workspace.

What is saved stays the same for everyone. Only the display changes.

Where to find itIn your own profile: Region (date, time, numbers).

Step by step

  1. Open your own profile.
  2. Under Region (date, time, numbers) choose your country. The default is Automatic.
  3. The hint shows an example. It says that the region sets date, first day of the week and numbers.
  4. Save. You see Region saved.

What Automatic means

IDup picks the first match in this order: your profile choice, the country of the company, your language, your browser. If none fits, it uses Switzerland.

Examples

  • Switzerland, Germany, Austria: 20.10.2026.
  • France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom: 20/10/2026.
  • United States: 10/20/2026 with a 12-hour clock and the week starting on Sunday.
  • Sweden, China, Japan: 2026-10-20.

Where it applies

It applies to standard pages such as invoices, projects, expenses, tasks and contracts, to lists, PDFs and date fields, and to the app. E-mails and push messages to other people use the region of the recipient. For a customer contact this is the country of the customer.

Not everything follows it yetAmounts are not changed by the region. Texts saved earlier, such as old notifications, keep the format they were saved in. The calendar in the app still starts the week on Monday.
