A newsletter is a list, a template and a send. The newsletter area holds all three, plus the thing people forget: who asked not to receive it.

Where to find itMarketing → Newsletter

Step by step

  1. Open Templates and pick a layout once. Five ready-made layouts are there: announcement, offer, event, monthly news and season. They use your logo and brand colour.
  2. Create the mailing under Campaigns and choose who it goes to. The number of people is shown before you send.
  3. Send a test to yourself. The subject starts with [TEST]. Check the preview for desktop and phone.
  4. Send it now or schedule it with a date, time and time zone.
  5. Follow the progress bar. You can pause, resume or cancel.

Sending

  • Large mailings go out in batches. You set the rate per hour under Settings.
  • Every address receives a mailing once.
  • The sender is the address you set under Security / Admin → Email. See Send e-mail from your own address.

Results

For each mailing you see delivered, opened, clicked, bounced and unsubscribed, as numbers and shares. You also see clicks per link. Each person has the entries in the lead or customer record.

The other pages

  • History: what was sent and when.
  • Recipients & consent: see Recipients and consent.
  • Unsubscribed: the list of people who opted out. An address on it is never written to again.
System mail is differentMail that IDup itself sends, such as invoices and reminders, is set up under Templates. See E-mail templates.
