Send e-mail from your own address
Choose whether customers see IDup or your own address as the sender, connect it and check delivery.
By default your e-mails go out through IDup in your company's name. You can send from your own address instead, for example info@company.com.
Two ways to send
- Via IDup (default): sent from noreply@idup.com in the name of your company. Replies go to your company. Nothing to set up.
- Own address: your customers see your address. You can choose it once the default address is checked. If it fails, IDup sends the mail instead.
Connect an address
- Open the tab Addresses and choose Add address.
- Choose Connect with Google or Connect with Microsoft. You sign in and no password is stored. If it is greyed out, the platform operator has not enabled it yet.
- Or choose Other address (SMTP/IMAP). E-mail and password are enough. Servers are filled in for known providers.
- Choose Connect & check. Then use Send test.
- Choose Own address under Sending.
Check delivery
Check domain tests SPF, DKIM and DMARC. A traffic light shows Good, Improve or Missing, with steps for your domain provider.
One address per area
Optionally set a different address for invoices and reminders, quotes and contracts, appointments, support, newsletters and campaigns, e-mail templates and reminders, or payment requests. Without a choice the default address sends.
When it fails
- Administrators get one notification per day.
- Every mail appears in the sending log, including the server answer.
- Newsletters and campaigns do not fall back to IDup. They show the error instead.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
