Marketing automation and campaigns
Segments, channels, campaigns and the points that decide who gets what.
Marketing automation is worth the setup when the same message has to reach different people at different moments. Doing that by hand does not scale past a few dozen contacts.
Step by step
- Open Marketing → Marketing automation → Segments and define who each campaign is for.
- Build the pieces under Components — the assets a campaign is made of.
- Set up the Channels you send through, starting with e-mail.
- Create the Campaign and attach segment, components and channel.
- Use Points and Stages to score contacts by what they do and move them along.
- Read Reports afterwards, and hold the defaults in Settings.
The marketing planner
Marketing planner is the calendar side of the same discipline: a planner, segments, components, channels, reports and settings. Use it to schedule what marketing automation then executes.
Which tool for which job
- Marketing automation — rules that fire on behaviour.
- Marketing planner — a plan on a calendar.
- MailFlow — newsletters to a list.
- WhatsBot campaigns — the same idea on WhatsApp.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
