E-mail templates and the mail IDup sends
Every automatic e-mail — invoices, reminders, ticket replies, invitations — comes from a template you can edit.
The mail your customers receive from IDup is your mail, not the software's. All of it is editable.
Step by step
- Open E-mail template → Templates and find the one you want to change.
- Edit the subject and the body. Placeholders for the customer name, the invoice number and so on are listed with the template.
- System templates holds the ones IDup sends for its own processes.
- Special e-mails and Reminders cover the out-of-the-ordinary sends.
- Mail timer and Triggers decide when a mail goes out rather than what it says.
- SMTP setting is where your sending account is configured, and E-mail log shows what was actually sent.
- Mailbox in the same menu is the inbound side.
Language
A system e-mail is rendered in the language of the person receiving it, not the sender's. Keep every language version of a template you edit in step, or a customer will get an English reminder in a German workspace.
If an e-mail did not arrive
- Check E-mail log — it shows whether IDup sent it.
- If it was sent, the problem is downstream: spam filtering or the recipient's mailbox.
- If it was not sent, check the SMTP settings and the template's trigger.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
