Add another company
An additional company is a separate workspace. It is possible in the top plans and needs a few details about the company.
Running two businesses in one workspace goes wrong quickly. The accounting, the VAT and the audit trail cannot be separated. IDup therefore gives an additional company its own workspace.

Before you start
- Your plan must be Enterprise, Agency or Institutional. The extra company costs 39 USD per month.
- The page shows how many companies you use, for example 2 of 3 used, and the price of each additional company.
Step by step
- Open Multiple Companies → Manage Companies.
- Select Create Company and enter the company name.
- From the second company on, IDup asks for details: the country, the VAT ID or commercial register number, and the owner or managing director.
- Tick the box confirming that the company belongs to your group of companies or to you as the owner.
- Check the price note: the additional company is a separate workspace and costs extra per month.
- Save. The new company appears in the list.
- To work in it, select Switch company. You are signed in to the other workspace without a new password.
Number formats
- Switzerland: CHE-123.456.789.
- Germany: DE123456789 or HRB 12345.
- Austria: ATU12345678 or FN 123456a.
- Other countries: at least 5 characters.
What stays separate
- Accounting, invoices, VAT and reports.
- Customers and contacts.
- Employees and their rights. Give access per company.
A short checkIDup checks new companies automatically, for example whether the number is already registered with another customer. You are not blocked. IDup only reviews the entry.
