Choose and switch your area

IDup deliberately does not give you one login per relationship. You have one account, and inside it a list of areas.

That is a security decision as much as a convenience one: one account that is protected properly is easier to protect than five that are protected approximately.

Step by step

1. Sign in. The area picker opens with the line One login, several areas.
2. Read the list. Your own area is called My account and is described as Your private IDup access (Basic).
3. Each company that connected you is listed by name, with as an employee or as a contact underneath, so you always know in which role you are about to enter.
4. Select Open on the area you want.
5. To change area later, return to the picker — you do not sign out and in again.

In the app

1. Open the app. After sign-in it shows the same list of areas.
2. Tap the area you want.
3. Use the area switcher in the app to come back to the list at any time.

What each side can see

• A company sees only the relationship it has with you. It cannot see your private area, and it cannot see the other companies you are connected to.
• You see, inside a company area, only what your role there allows.
• If a connection ends, that company disappears from your list. Your account and every other connection are untouched.
