Date, time and number format

IDup shows dates, times and numbers the way people do in your region. One setting per person.

Last updated 21 October 2026 · More in Getting started

A date can read 20.10.2026, 20/10/2026 or 10/20/2026. IDup uses the style of your region, so you do not have to read someone else's habit.

Where to find itYour own profile, directly under the language: Region (date, time, numbers)

Which style is used

IDup picks the first match in this order:

  1. Your choice under Region (date, time, numbers). You can pick from about 250 countries.
  2. The country of your company.
  3. Your language.
  4. Your browser.
  5. Switzerland, as the last fallback.

The default is Automatic. The setting shows an example, so you see the result before you save.

Examples

  • Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein: 20.10.2026.
  • France, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom: 20/10/2026.
  • United States: 10/20/2026, a 12-hour clock and a week that starts on Sunday.
  • Sweden, China and Japan: 2026-10-20.

Where it applies

Lists, forms, date pickers, calendars, PDFs, e-mails and push messages. An e-mail to someone else uses that person's region, not yours. The stored data does not change. A CSV export uses the international date style, for example 2026-10-20.

Good to knowTexts that were saved earlier, such as old notifications, keep the format they were written in. Amounts on invoices follow the currency format of the document and are not changed by this setting.
