Reports and report builders

IDup ships the reports most businesses need and then gives you two tools for the ones it cannot have anticipated.

Step by step

1. Open Reports & analytics → Reports for the standard set: sales, order report, quantities, expenses, expenses versus income, leads, the yearly and monthly activity report, the timesheets overview and knowledge-base articles.
2. Choose the period and, where offered, the customer or the person.
3. Export what you need to keep or hand on.
4. For something the standard set does not cover, use ReportPlus → Reports, with its own settings.
5. For a report you want to define field by field, use Report builder → Reports, start from a Template, and publish it to colleagues under Shares.

The specialised report areas

• SI service report → Customer services report — service delivery per customer.
• SI lead filter and SI task filter — saved filters and filter templates that behave like reports.
• Accounting → Reports (GuV/Bilanz/MwSt) — the financial statements, covered in VAT and the financial reports.

Making a report trustworthy

1. Agree the period convention once — calendar month, or the month an invoice was paid.
2. Keep expense categories clean; they decide what every cost report says.
3. Share the report definition rather than the exported file, so two people looking at the same name see the same thing.
