Add another company

A second company gets its own workspace — allowed when it belongs to the same group or owner, identified by its UID.

Running two businesses out of one workspace goes wrong quickly: the accounting is not separable, the VAT is not separable, and neither is the audit trail. IDup therefore gives an additional company its own workspace.

Where to find itAdditional companies in the sidebar.

Step by step

  1. Open Additional companies.
  2. Add the new company with its legal name and its company registration number (UID). The UID is required — it is how the relationship to the existing company is established.
  3. Confirm that the company belongs to the same group or has the same owner. This is the condition under which an additional workspace is permitted.
  4. Once it is set up, the new company appears in your area picker alongside the first, and you switch with one click.
  5. Give people access per company under Central → Team inside each workspace. Access is not shared automatically.

What stays separate

  • Accounting, invoices, VAT and reports — completely.
  • Customers and contacts — each company has its own.
  • Team members and their rights — granted per company.

What is shared is you: one login, one password, both companies in the same area picker.
