Sign in to the app, and switch areas
One account, one password, and the same area picker you know from the web.
The app uses the same account as the web. There is nothing to activate and no separate app password.
Step by step
- Open the app and enter your e-mail address and password.
- If two-factor is switched on, the app moves to the code screen by itself and you type the six digits from the e-mail.
- The area list appears. Tap the area you want to work in.
- To change area, open the area switcher again — you do not sign out.
Unlocking with Face ID or a fingerprint
The app can lock itself and reopen with Face ID / Touch ID instead of the password. Turn on Biometric login in the app's settings. When it locks you see Welcome back and Unlock the app to continue; the prompt reads Confirm it is you to open IDup.
On a device without biometrics the option is shown as Not available on this device rather than hidden, so you know why it is missing.
Signing out and removing a device
- In the app, use Sign Out in the settings area. The app confirms with Sign Out Successfully and forgets the session on that device.
- To remove a device you no longer have, sign in on the web and open Central → Active sessions. Each entry shows the device and browser, and you can end it.
- Ending a session also stops push notifications reaching that device.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
