Sign in with an email code
IDup can require a six-digit code by e-mail on top of your password. This is how that sign-in runs, on the web and in the app.
Two-factor sign-in means a password on its own is not enough to reach your data. IDup's second factor is a six-digit code sent to the e-mail address on your account.
Step by step
- Enter your e-mail address and your password and sign in.
- If two-factor is switched on for your account, the next screen asks for a code and IDup e-mails you a six-digit one.
- Open the e-mail and type the six digits into the box.
- You land on the area picker, Where would you like to go?, and choose where to work.
In the app
- Open the IDup app and enter the same e-mail address and password.
- The app recognises that a code is required and switches to the code screen by itself.
- Type the six digits from the e-mail.
- The app keeps you signed in, so you normally do this once per device.
If the code does not arrive
- Check the spam folder — the mail comes from the IDup system address.
- A code is short-lived. If several minutes have passed, start the sign-in again to get a fresh one.
- Make sure you are typing the code for the address you signed in with, not an older one from a previous attempt.
Switching two-factor on
Two-factor is a per-person setting, so one employee can require a code while another does not. You will find it on your own profile in the workspace. If your company runs the MFA module, an administrator can also manage it centrally under Security / Admin → MFA.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
