Manufacturing is the part of a business where a missing definition costs a whole run. The area is built around getting those definitions right once.

Where to find itOperations → Manufacturing

Step by step

  1. Open Operations → Manufacturing → Products and define what you make. Use Product variants where it comes in versions.
  2. Define the Bills of materials for each product: what it is made of.
  3. Define the Routings, the sequence of operations, and the Work centers they run on.
  4. Create a Manufacturing order for a quantity to be produced.
  5. Issue the Work orders that carry it out.

Dashboard shows what is running. Settings holds the working hours and defaults.

Area missing from the menu?An administrator can show or hide areas under Operations → Show or hide areas. This only changes the menu, not your data. Areas that are not part of your plan are marked as such there.
