Your accountant needs your books, not your whole workspace. Accountant access gives exactly that.

Where to find itFinance → Accounting → Settings → Accountant access

Step by step

  1. Click Invite person.
  2. Enter first name, last name and e-mail address.
  3. Choose the rights: Read, Post, Edit, Close and Export.
  4. Click Send invitation. The person gets an e-mail with a link that is valid for 48 hours and sets their own password.

What the rights mean

  • Read — view reports, journal and receipts.
  • Post — record and reverse entries.
  • Edit — change accounts, rules, assets and budget.
  • Close — lock months, close the year and reopen.
  • Export — download PDF, Excel, Banana, Abacus and the archive.

Control

The person sees only the accounting of your company. Every access and every action is written to the Access log. Resend link sends a new invitation. Revoke access ends it at once.

For tax advisors and trustees

On tax advisor and trustee plans, Tax returns → Client companies lists the companies that gave your e-mail address access. See Manage mandates.
