Connect your bank and payment accounts
Connect a bank, Stripe, PayPal, TWINT and other providers once and use them in invoices, payment requests and the shop.
Connect once and use everywhere. The methods you connect here are used in invoices, in payment requests and in your IDup shops. Keys are stored encrypted and are never shown again.
Your bank
The bank row has two buttons.
- Upload bank statement: choose your bank to see where to find the file. Download the camt.053 or camt.054 file in your e-banking, enter the IBAN and upload it. It also works as a ZIP file. It works with every bank. Every payment is checked and booked.
- Connect automatically: choose your bank, log in to your e-banking and confirm the access once. IDup then fetches the account movements every day. Access is read-only and you can withdraw it at any time. If your bank does not offer this, the page says so and points you to the upload.
Payment providers
Tiles are grouped as Bank, Payment services, Card payment on site and External shops. They include Stripe, PayPal, TWINT through Datatrans, SEPA Direct Debit through Stripe, GoCardless, Stripe Terminal and SumUp. Shopify and WooCommerce are read only.
- Choose the tile and select Connect.
- On the Stripe tile choose Connect with Stripe. You log in at Stripe and confirm. No keys are copied. Payments go to your own Stripe account. The PayPal tile shows Connect with PayPal when it is available. Where a tile asks for keys instead, What do I need to enter? explains where to find them.
- Check the status. A connected tile shows Connected and the time of the last synchronisation.
Day to day
- Synchronise now fetches new payments at once.
- Disconnect stops the synchronisation. Bookings already made stay.
- With Import payments from you set a start date, so older payments are not booked twice.
- Each tile lists the fees of the provider. They are booked as expenses automatically.
Shop sales that are paid through Connect with Stripe can carry an IDup platform fee. The Stripe tile shows the rate before and after you connect. It comes on top of the Stripe fees and is booked as an expense. Companies that use their own Stripe keys pay no platform fee.
For the IDup Shop, choose per payment method whether it is offered in the online store and at the checkout counter. You find this under Shop settings in the section Payment.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
