Reconciliation compares what the bank booked with what your books say. IDup suggests a match for each movement. You confirm with one click.

Where to find itFinance → Accounting → Bank reconciliation

Bring in the bank movements

  1. Open Finance → Payments → Accounts & integrations.
  2. Choose your bank and click Upload bank statement.
  3. In your e-banking, download the camt.053 or camt.054 file. A ZIP also works. IDup shows where to find it for several Swiss banks.
  4. Enter the IBAN, choose the file and save. Every payment is checked and booked.

Uploading works with every bank. An automatic daily bank feed is not switched on yet. IDup shows The automatic connection is currently being activated at SIX until it is.

Match the movements

  1. Open Bank reconciliation. The count shows what is still To review.
  2. Read the suggestion. IDup shows why it fits: QR reference, amount, name, a rule or a keyword.
  3. Click Confirm. Or click Confirm with the number of clear matches to confirm them all at once.
  4. If the suggestion is wrong, click Assign differently. Choose another open invoice, a supplier bill, or post to an account with its VAT code.
  5. Click Ignore for a movement that must not be posted. You enter a reason, and it is logged.

Part payments and small differences

A part payment leaves the rest open. A small difference can be written off as a fee or discount, up to 5 or 2 %.

Rules

When you confirm, IDup can remember the choice for that name or IBAN. Learned rules are listed under Rules. You can switch one off.

The page compares the Balance per bank with the Balance per books.
