Your accountant may work in another program. IDup exports the books in the formats they use, and it keeps a complete archive for the retention period.

Where to find itFinance → Accounting → Year-end closing → Export & archive

Export

  • Banana: transactions and Banana: chart of accounts — text files for Banana Accounting.
  • Abacus: GL entries (XML) — the AbaConnect XML entries format. Importing needs AbaConnect in Abacus.
  • DATEV: posting batch (CSV) — enter your consultant number and client number first.
  • Journal and Chart of accounts as CSV or Excel.

Click Download next to the format. CSV files use a semicolon and UTF-8.

Legal archive

  1. Click Create legal archive.
  2. IDup builds a ZIP with the journal, the reports, the audit log with its hash chain, the receipts, the VAT returns and the closings.
  3. Each file carries a checksum. The archive is stored unchanged and can be downloaded again at any time.

Keep it for 10 years. IDup also offers an Archive tab that files the year-end records with a deletion lock until the retention period ends. Before you confirm, IDup shows what will be filed.

Import a chart of accounts

Upload a CSV or Banana file. You see a preview first. New accounts are created. With Rename existing accounts chosen, names are updated. Nothing is deleted.
