Your tax profile and country rules
Tell IDup your country, tax number and filing period. It sets up accounts, rates and deadlines from that.
The tax profile is the starting point for VAT and the tax return. IDup uses it to set up the chart of accounts, the tax rates and the deadlines. You can change everything.
Step by step
- Choose your Country.
- Enter your Company ID / tax number. The check digit is verified, and an invalid number is refused.
- Choose the Filing period: monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly.
- Enter when the financial year starts, as day and month, for example 01.07.
- Enter the legal form and, where it applies, the canton or state. Save.
Until you have saved it once, the profile is only a suggestion, and IDup says so.
Country rules
Each country has a package with its rates, forms and deadlines. Every value carries its official source and a date.
- Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany and Austria.
- The other EU countries, the United Kingdom and Norway.
- About 40 further countries.
- All other countries use a general package: rates by hand, a report per rate.
Some values are marked as to be confirmed. Check them with your tax authority before you file. IDup compiles the figures. It is not tax advice.
In India, Canada, the United States and Brazil, you also choose the state or province. The VAT return then shows the tax per state.
Nothing is tracked — the buttons only open a message so you can tell us what was missing.
