An appointment in IDup is not only an entry in your calendar. If it involves a connected person, it appears in their calendar too, with a response they can give.

Where to find itAppointments in the company workspace. My calendar in the private account and in the app.

Step by step

  1. Arrange the appointment the way you normally do in your workspace. This can be the calendar, the appointments module, an event or a task.
  2. Because the person is connected, they receive it: an e-mail with the subject Appointment: … and a calendar file, plus a push notification in the category Appointment reminders.
  3. They see it under My calendar, split into upcoming and past.
  4. They select Accept or Decline. Their answer appears on your side in the Response column: No response yet, Accepted or Declined.
  5. If you move or cancel it, they get Changed appointment: … or Cancelled appointment: …. A cancelled appointment can no longer be answered.

The calendar file

Each appointment mail carries a calendar attachment with a stable identifier. A change updates the existing entry instead of creating a second one.

Where the appointment came from

The company side shows a Source column. An appointment can originate in the appointments module, the appointment manager, an event or a task. The source is recorded, so you can always trace it back.

The history of an appointment

Every appointment has a History that cannot be changed or deleted. It records, for example, Booked, Confirmed, Rescheduled, Cancelled, each message sent with its channel, and the guest's reply. Each entry shows who did it and when.

Open the appointment and select History (n), or use the menu Appointments → History. A guest never sees the history. Notes and call notes are visible only to the host and administrators.
