Set up booking calendars

A calendar is a type of appointment. It has its own times, its own form and an address that you share or put on your website. Create one for each kind of appointment, for example “First meeting”.

Step by step

1. Open Appointments → Calendars and choose New calendar.
2. Under Appointment details enter the name, the length and the place. The place can be phone, online or on site. For online meetings choose a fixed link, or a Google Meet, Zoom or Microsoft Teams link of its own for every booking.
3. Under Availability set the weekly hours, exceptions, buffers, the earliest time and how far ahead guests can book. You can limit bookings per day and per week.
4. Choose who hosts. One employee, or a team. A team can be assigned in turn, the guest can choose the person, or everyone must be free together.
5. Set the Form. Add your own questions and the privacy tick box with a link.
6. Choose what happens after the booking: the thank-you page, a calendar file, a request for a rating after the appointment, and whether the guest becomes a lead.
7. Save. Switch the calendar to Active.

Share it

Each calendar has its own address. Use Copy, Open page or Share. A short address looks like idup.com/date/your-name. In the menu with the three dots, Embed code gives you code for your website, either the calendar itself or a button that opens it. Duplicate makes a copy with all settings.

What blocks a time

A time is not offered when the host has another appointment, an approved absence, a holiday, or an entry in a connected Google or Outlook calendar. Under Holidays you can import the public holidays of your canton with one click.

More options

Appointments with several seats let more than one person book the same time. A waitlist tells guests when a time becomes free. With Create bookings as leads, every booking becomes a lead with a stage and an owner that you choose. Guests who do not become a lead or customer are deleted after a period.
